Peyton's 7 months old!

We can't believe our little girl is 7 months old today! She's finally starting to scoot around a little bit - mostly backwards - and will actually roll onto her tummy to play. (For the past several months she's been doing everything she can to get OFF of her tummy!) If you hold your hands out she can pull herself up.

She is eating solids three times a day now and loves everything we have given to her. She's drinking juice from a sippy cup but has no interest in trying to hold it herself. She's still taking three naps a day and sleeps from about 7-7:30 at night until we wake her up at 6:30 am. She still wakes up every once in a while but is starting to be able to find her paci and go back to sleep without us going in. Yeah! She loves to clap her hands and play with paper. Yes, in case anyone needs a gift idea - a magazine or wrapping paper will do!

We've got a trooper!

Peyton has been so good during her breathing treatments! As long as we sing or read to her, she pretty much sits still. Here's a glimpse of our attempts to keep her entertained, with Grandma Judy and Aunt Steph's help.

Cold season, here we come

We all lounged around last weekend with colds. Well, we found out yesterday that Peyton actually has her first ear infection. The doctor was also concerned about her breathing, so we have to give her breathing treatments for the next week. She's a trooper, though. You would never know anything was wrong. Oh, and she weighed in at 20 lbs 7 oz! I asked the doctor if we should be concerned and she said no, and I quote "Her cheeks are perfect!".

Six month check-up

Thank goodness for mirrors! This kept Peyton occupied during our long wait for the doctor. She's 18 lbs 11 oz (75-90%) and 26.5" (50-75%). Doc said to go ahead and start her on stage 2 foods and a sippy cup. She's still figuring out how to hold that thing.

Our little flower

Here's our little pumpkin on her first Halloween. We had the costume on 3 different times since various neighbors wanted to see her at different times and she took a couple naps. Grandmas Judy and Jean and Grandpa Terry walked around with us and Grandma Judy stayed late so we could hang out at our neighbors later that night.

Thanks to Jen for the cute costume!

You talked me into it

At our recent monthly girls dinner, we were talking about sending pix and I was saying how I loved everyone's blogs (Sue, Leesh, Rachel, etc). A few suggested that we start a blog, so here we go. I couldn't even come up with a good name, so don't expect much!
