Roomies

I love when I walk into them laughing with each other when they wake up from their nap.

Shower for Miss Kylene!

Thelma & Louise
ringing the bell

P's class
gotta love green icing!

"get me out of this stroller!"

Peyton's teacher is having a baby and will be leaving to become a SAHM next month. Sue organized a shower for her and a few of the moms came up. The theme was the Hungry Caterpillar. The kids were so excited for the party and extra excited for the cookies! The teacher is so nice, we will miss her.

My cutie patootie #3.

I was in a picture taking mood today...here's my handsome boy modeling another outfit I received at my shower.

Miss Ashlyn

My little princess #2 is showing that she will NOT be left behind by her little brother. She is becoming a hot shot pulling up on everything and is getting pretty good at cruising. She is showing signs of crawling on her hands and knees and has even gone a step or two. She is even starting to walk behind push toys. All within the past week!
Oh, and I couldn't pick just one picture. I am actually restraining myself. I think she's just a little cute. :-) Plus I was so excited to put this outfit on her. I got it for a shower present a year ago and was afraid she'd outgrow it before it got warm enough. Little did I know back then how well it would go with her pretty blue eyes!

Impromptu trip to the Zoo!

Proof Mommy was there
Ashlyn w/Braden's paci, and Braden going for the puffs

Dominic
Peyton and her big cousin, Dakota
AJ

P with Dakota and AJ
Cousins! Minus P, who was off wandering. I was lucky to get this shot off as everyone was leaving.

NaNa Jean called us bright and early on Sunday to invite us to the zoo with the rest of the Thies-Niehaus fam. We decided to take a risk and go. Danie and her three kiddos came and Bryan, Jess, Gannon and Flynn met us a bit later. We quickly packed up a lunch and diaper bag and hit the road. This was Ashlyn and Braden's first visit. They missed their morning nap and I even nursed them about an hour later than normal and they were not crabby one bit. We found a picnic table and had lunch. NaNa and Grandpa brought the kids cupcakes. They had fun running around together. We left around 12:30 and everyone fell asleep before we even hit the highway (I almost did, too!). It was a beautiful day.

After naps we went for a walk and played on the swingset. It was a very calm and relaxing day. I am really looking forward to the summer!

Peyton's First Trip to the Circus

This is the best pose I could get.

Her fav place to sit.
We went with some of our best friends, the Raus and Laramies to the circus at the Family Arena. Peyton was so excited to be with her friends and to go to see the elephants. She wanted to go see the clowns that were walking around but of course when we got up to them, she acted shy. She liked the lollipop they gave her, though! She loved the whole show.

Mommy Peyton

Peyton loves loves loves to take care of her baby dolls and stuffed animals. I came in the kitchen and found that she had set all of this up herself. She is feeding them bananas.

Rub a dub dub, three kids in a tub.

Mommy was finally brave enough to put us in the big tub. The next time even big sister joined us. (We think she's too big to have her pic posted, though!) Life is even easier for mommy now.

Ashlyn and Braden are 10 Months Old!

I know I say this every month but I can't believe how old they are. Maybe it's because I stay at home now or maybe it's because I am still nursing them, or maybe it's because these are my last babies, but I still think of them as little babies. Well, they are almost toddlers now! It's so fun to watch them play now, especially when they play with their big sister. Besides the basement, Peyton's room is their favorite place to play.
They are changing by the day, well, all three of the kiddos are. I have given up on trying to figure out who looks like who. I used to see a lot of myself in Ashlyn. Now she looks just like Greg in his baby pix from the same age. I used to think Braden looked just like Greg. Now I think he looks like either my dad or a Gianopulos. People used to say Peyton looked like Greg. Now they say she looks like me but I see a lot of my mom in her. Oh well, I suppose they just look like Peyton, Ashlyn and Braden. Enough of that tangent - Now on to the party planning!

Ashlyn is 10 Months Old!

Ashlyn turned 10 months old today! My dimply girl is usually all smiles. When Greg gets home from work, she stops what she is doing and scoots as fast as she can, giggling all the way, towards him. Considering she only sees him for maybe an hour a day during the week, we find it quite amusing that she, like her sister, is a total Daddy's girl. We are starting to see signs of separation anxiety with her as a few times when people were over she would not let them hold her if Greg and I were in the room. She's still army crawling but does pretty good at keeping up with Braden. She's starting to practice standing without holding on, only for a second or so though. She has pulled up once but gets frustrated very easily and usually looks for help. I am sort of glad that one of my kids still pretty much stays put for now! I know it won't last much longer!

Braden is 10 Months Old!

Braden turned 10 months old today! I can now definitely see that his top TWO teeth have poked through. His hair is getting longer by the day and I have to tuck it behind his ears. Still deciding what I want to do with it before I break out the scissors, but I think that day is coming soon. Besides the accomplishments that I have recently posted, he has started to use push toys. He has pushed a kitchen chair all the way across the floor, walking behind it, and he has pushed (with my help of course, making sure neither fell!) Ashlyn on the princess car. They both were smiling so big, we'll have to do it again when Daddy is around so I can take a picture. He loves to explore.

Toofer update

Ashlyn's top two teeth finally poked through her gums this past week and at least one of Braden's has broken through. Other than a little crabbiness and a few restless nights (a little whining but they didn't need me) they have been troopers.

PAT came today and was very impressed, of course! :-)

Ashlyn!

Ashlyn had a big day yesterday. She pulled herself up for the first time all by herself and she clapped for the first time! Busy, busy weekend so no pix yet, but had to post so I didn't forget when this happened!

Family Fun at the Park

We went to the park for the first time as a family since last Fall, when Ashlyn and Braden were stuck in their pumpkin seats. Ashlyn and Braden love the swings!
