Had my ob checkup today and the doc recalculated my due date since St. Johns thought I measured further along. I got out my chart from Dr. Pearlstone and it was decided that I am due on 6/15 instead of 6/19. So, I am now 20 weeks! I am measuring at 24 weeks but they said that is normal for twins. I have two more months of going once a month, then I have to start going weekly. Plus two glucose tests instead of one. Phew. I should have picked a doctor closer to work!
Had to get on that horrible scale, which said I gained 8 pounds in the past month - geez! Guess I need to lay off on the dessert! That puts me at a total of 13 pounds so far. I need to start taking belly pix. This pregnancy is going way faster than the last one!

21 Months!

I've been slacking on updating my first little miracle's mini-birthdays. She turned 21 months on the 23rd, I can't believe it! We're closing in on two. Where has the time gone?!?
She is just talking away, even starting to use 3 word "sentences". She LOVES to sing and knows the tunes to more songs than even I do, I think. Kid songs anyway. Most songs she can even sing at least half of the words - the other half is humming. :-) That Music Julie at school must really be something. Last week I was counting to ten with her and at about 4 she started counting with me. Now, I start counting and stop and she can say 6 through 10 without me and then says "yay!".
I used to read Goodnight Moon to her every night when she was itty bitty. When she started getting more independent we did other things before bed and read other books. We've gotten back in the habit of Goodnight Moon somehow and now before naps and bedtime she'll lay in her crib and say "oonight moon" and so I just have to read it to her at least three times (or she asks for more). I think that book is going to be worn out before her brother and sister arrive.
We have been attempting to introduce the potty to her. Several months ago she started telling me when she went #2 and then she started telling me before she went. I thought for sure it was a sign. Well, since we bought the potty chair, that has stopped. She has only gone #1 on it once so far. I do know that she can hold it because she'll get up, get her diaper on and then go in the corner to go potty in her pants! We still put her on it every morning and night, and on the weekends after she eats. This is truely teaching us the art of patience.
We haven't yet talked about the babies much, but someone must have because she recently started lifting up my shirt and saying "hi baby" and then gives my belly a kiss. It makes me melt every time. She is going to be such a good big sister!

18 1/2 Weeks and Counting

We had our level 2 ultrasound today at St. Johns. Doc ordered it because there are two babies. It took about an hour as opposed to about 15 minutes and they looked at all the organs in detail. They did confirm that they are pretty certain it is a boy and a girl! I'm kind of glad they aren't both the same sex if not only because they switched which one was baby A and baby B! I didn't know that was possible! I have my regular OB checkup on Tuesday and will clarify then. They said that the boy, who was B, is now lower so they called him A. Here's pix of both their heads and the boy's profile. The girl was not very cooperative and had her head facing toward my back the whole time, so they didn't get a great picture of her. The tech said I was going to have my hands full with her. We shall see!
Some stats:
Girl hr 154
Boy hr 142 (both are down from 163 BPM)
Both weigh 12 ounces, in terms of grams the boy is just a little heavier, but both are growing at the same rate so that is good news.
Christmas Day

Christmas morning was so much fun this year! Peyton really got into opening her presents, but she did want to stop with each one to play with it. She got a few books and a doll. Then we went downstairs for her big present, which was a play kitchen/market. She was so excited! She cried when we had to go upstairs to go to Nana's house for brunch and didn't want to get dressed. The family agreed that we'll probably host brunch next year so she can stay home and play with her toys.
She got a ton of presents from my mom (Nana) . Aunt Steph & Uncle Bob gave her a cute purse with her name on it that had a cell phone, wallet w/money, makeup case, etc. and also the famous red and yellow car (can't remember the name) to ride around in.
We then went home to start cooking dinner and took a quick nap before the rest of my family came over. Peyton and her cousin Tommy had fun playing together in the kitchen and we all enjoyed watching the twin boys. Next year there will be 6 little ones running/crawling around! I need a bigger house!
