Chatty Cathy

Peyton has been talking up a STORM the past few months. It's so fun to have actual conversations with her, she's starting to say a lot of complete sentences. She recently made a comment about brushing her teeth. To get her to comply with brushing we say we need to get the froggies out of her teeth. She told Greg the other night that "Peyton has frogs in the teeth. Daddy's trying to get them". Tonight out of the blue she said she wanted to go to the bar. I'm hoping that she misprounced something - maybe park? We really have to watch what we say now! She's getting to be such a big girl.

Flower Girls

Peyton and her cousin, Dakota, have been asked to be flower girls in Greg's brother Mike and Maegen's wedding in September. We went to try on dresses at David's Bridal. Peyton followed around her big cousin all through the store and wanted to do everything she did, such as sit cross-legged. It was funny watching her try to pick her leg up over the other one as she intently watched Dakota. She loved the dress on the hanger but not on. I am hoping it was because the dress was too long. Fingers are crossed for September that (1) she walks down the aisle and (2) she wears the dress!

Almost a month went by before we got some pix of Greg & I with the babies as well as Peyton with both of the babies. Here are a couple pix.

Ice cream!

Peyton got her first treat from the ice cream truck. It seemed like it took forever for that thing to make it's way to our house! But, she waited patiently and picked out a popsicle. Mom got a fudgecicle - yum! A nice treat on a super hot day.

One Month Old!

Ashlyn and Braden are now one month old! How did that happen? We had our checkup and the doctor decided to prescribe Braden Pepcid for his reflux since it seems to be bothering him more. Hopefully that will lessen the grunts and squirming. We have never heard two nosier babies! When one gets going the other starts up. They also had ultrasounds on their hips and kidneys to make sure that they were okay since they were so cramped together in utero. Doc says everything looks great!

They are still eating every 3 hours, sometimes every 2.5. The past week they have started to sleep one 4-4.5 hour stretch at night most nights - and at the same time, which to me is a miracle.

First Walk

Greg, Peyton and I took Ashlyn & Braden on their first walk. They of course slept the whole time but we had fun introducing them to the neighbors. We also got to experience the double-stroller for the first time. Phew!

Playground!

Peyton got her delayed birthday present on Memorial Day weekend - her very own swingset. Well, she will be sharing it with two other kiddos in a year or so! After 20 hours of grueling work in the heat, Greg, his dad and Maggie put it together. I helped by making lemonade! Peyton just loves it and can already go up the ladder, which makes me a nervous wreck of course!
