First Day of School!
Oh my gosh, how I had to hold back the tears. My littlest munchkins started at Good Shepherd two days a week with big sis, Peyton. They were so proud to wear their backpacks and jumped right in. We had no issues the first day and they napped great. The second day the substitute teacher didn't realize they took pacis at nap and they went right to sleep without them, and haven't had them at school since! Braden already has a love, albeit unrequited. He has a girl he loves to hug but she pushes him away. She is a cutie, though! Ashlyn quickly learned everyones name in the class and knows where they sleep. I'm so proud!

Dancing Queen
Peyton started taking dance classes at the Y. She told me during the first one, "This is so much fun!". It is pretty cute, they do tap, ballet and jazz and at the end of each class they play freeze dance.

Hot Stuff
Ashlyn loves to dress up and if she sees high heels she will put them on. She loves to say "cheese".

Mother's Day
Another great Mother's Day with all my wonderful blessings. We had brunch at our house with my mom, Nan and Bill and Bob, Steph and Lou Lou. Then after naps we went to Greg's mom's with the whole family.

Ashlyn and Braden are TWO!
I guess we can't call them "babies" anymore! Since our last update, Ashlyn and Braden have really started to talk, still mostly one word at a time but they have a word for just about everything now. If they don't have one, they ask "what's that?!?". They are big into bug sightings, planes, trucks or just about anything that moves. Ashlyn LOVES her babies. They both still love books and are starting to sit on the potty! The weather has been so warm so we have been outside pretty much every waking hour and they love to play in the water. They still don't say each other's names without being asked but now call Peyton "Pate" and everytime they see something of hers they say her name.
Braden has mastered the art of jumping with both feet off the ground and does so as much as possible. Ashlyn has mastered the art of walking on stairs without holding on.
For their actual birthday, we went to Max and Erma's for dinner with Nana and Bob. They loved the ice cream sundaes. We can really tell they are growing up when we go to restaurants and they can sit patiently for quite a while now. Nana gave some of the presents of the year - a leaf blower and a bubble lawn mower. Braden cried when we made him come inside from playing with them that night.

Spring Soccer 2012
Peyton played soccer this Spring at the Y. This time there were a ton of kids, as opposed to last Fall when she was one of 3 or 4. She's getting good at dribbling and trapping the ball. They got to play a few "games" against the parents. Good times!

Party Time 2012
We had the kids' birthday party at Team Central Gymnastics. All 12 nieces and nephews got to come and everyone had a blast. At Peyton's request, I made a Franklin the Turtle cake. Even the adults got in on the fun. Thanks to the fam for a fun morning and for all the great presents, which included a sprinkler ball, occupation dress-up clothes, bubble lawn mower and blower and lots of clothes.
