Dinosaurs!

We took Peyton to the Science Center for the first time. She loved looking at everything. They had a dinosaur exhibit that we were a bit hesitant to take her since we overheard others saying the little ones were getting scared. But, they had a huge T-Rex out in the open that was moving around and roaring and she was in awe. So, we took her in and she loved it! She kept saying "roar".
She also had fun discovering everything in the other parts of the Science Center, especially the slanted room. I think she would have staying in there an hour if we would have let her, just going to the top of the room and back down.

Peyton just loves to put pretty bows on her daddy...not her mommy, just her daddy!

Happy Halloween!

Peyton had a great Halloween! Friday they had a parade at school and she got lots of goodies. Friday night we carved her pumpkin and she played in the goo for the first time. She wasn't too impressed with that whole experience. Saturday we were planning on hitting a few of our neighbors early to show off her costume and then go down to another neighbors to have chili and hang out. But, H1N1 ended up visiting them. So, some other neighbors who have two kids that go to P's school - one just older and one just younger, called and asked if we wanted to go trick-or-treating. We were a bit hesitant since Peyton didn't want her costume on earlier in the day and she's so little, but she put it on so we headed over with the wagon. After the first house we were so surprised - Peyton was an old pro! She followed Mitchell up to every door, helped knock, waited patiently, put her candy in her bag and moved on to the next house. We were joking that the kids were probably wondering why this didn't happen on all of our walks! We could not believe how much fun she had. We got home early enough to hand out candy for most of the kids and let Peyton have a package of sweethearts - yum! It took some time but I finally convinced her that the candy for the other kids was not hers (she kept grabbing it and saying "Mine!"). We all had a blast and are thankful for our great neighbors. Now, if she would have only slept until 7 instead of 6 it would have been a perfect weekend. When do kids understand the time change? :-)
