Time for Soccer!

Getting ready!

Waiting for practice to start.

Listening to the coach

Learning to trap the ball.  Right after this skill lesson they played pass and Peyton wouldn't kick the ball back until she had first properly placed her foot on the ball as she had been shown.

Going for the goal!

Greg and I have been looking forward to this day since we started thinking about possibly having kids.  Peyton started a soccer clinic at the Y.  She picked up on the drills pretty quickly and it is so cute watching the kids play together.  There are only four kids total and one of the boys is named Peyton.  So they get a little confused, even though the coach tried calling the boy Peyton Manning.  The sun was in our eyes the whole time so I didn't get great pix.  Looking towards the future, Ashlyn seems to have a nature talent for dribbling the ball.  Braden seems to prefer baseball.  We shall see!

Here's my big boy ready for football season and Miss A in an outfit I loved but P was too big for it when she got it.

Bubble Picnic

Parkway Early Childhood has a fun and free event every year called the Bubble Picnic.  The kids enjoyed many activities including blowing and popping bubbles, singing songs, popping bubble wrap and drawing bubbles.

Science Center

She played with these gears forever, I need to find them at a store!

Such fun walking up and down the ramp, over and over!

I got a picture of one of his favorite positions!

We made our first visit to the Discovery Room at the Science Center.  I wish we would have gone sooner!  The kids were like kids in a candy shop.  They had so much fun discovering all the cool toys.

Life with Two Toddlers

Things have changed around here in many ways.  One big thing is that I keep having to put more and more things away because Ashlyn and Braden are so very curious!  We had an old end table in our dining room.  The kids decided it is fun to crawl in.  Braden figured out that the glass comes off.  So, first we took that off and hid it behind the china cabinet.  That made it even more fun since the kids can now get in and stand up.  Only problem was that Ashlyn didn't know how to get back out!  Anyway, Greg and I decided we didn't really need the table so it is now gone.  We've also since had to turn our end tables in our family room around so that they can't pull out the drawers to use as steps to get on the table.  Of course, it didn't take long for Braden to figure out he can push toys up to the table to use as a stool.  I wonder how long it will take before our house is void of all decorations and unnecessary furniture.
