Snow!

As I am actually typing this the following summer, I had no idea at this time that were going to see a LOT of this stuff this winter.  We got together with our neighbors and built this huge snowman and had a snowball fight, followed by hot chocolate of course.  Love it!

Christmas at NaNa and Grandpa's

Another crazy fun year spending the night with the Thies-Niehaus crew.  Some of the grandkids are so big now they are playing games with the adults. Time is marching on!

Christmas Tree 2013

It was an unseasonably warm day, so we got to go pick out a tree with no coats on!  Always hard to get everyone to pose for a picture but I think some of them are pretty funny.  The kids love to help cut it down and also help transport it to the cashier.  One pulled while the other two pushed.  They also did a great job decorating. Looking forward to our first Christmas in our new house.

Christmas Cookie Time!

One of my favorite traditions is to make Christmas cookies with my grandma and mom.  Once the kiddos came we haven't been able to make it work to get together.  This year was the first year my kids got to participate.  They had fun goofing off with Nan.  And eating of course!  Our niece, Dakota, even got to hang with us for a while.  A great afternoon!

Transportation Museum

One of the best purchases we made this year was a membership to this museum.  The kids love walking through the trains, riding the miniature train and the Creation Station.  This time Dad got to come with us!

Peyton is Five!!!

My baby has turned into quite the young lady.  She definitely has the Gianopulos gene and loves the bling. Uncle Jerry calls her Elsie (my great grandma who loved jewelry).  Everyone enjoys the outfits she puts together.  We discuss what goes together but she always has a reason to pair a certain top with a pant or skirt.  Her signature look is wearing a skirt under a dress.  She still loves princesses and being the "big kid" in the house, as well as telling Ashlyn and Braden that their stuff is for "babies."  Peyton also loves to pretend and put on singing and dancing shows at home.

For her birthday we had her "gymnastics" girls from pre-K over for a Rapunzel Tea Party.  The girls put on a fashion show for us and we played pin the hair on Rapunzel.  We had fruit wands and cake.

Turtle Park

Turns out everyone had the same idea as us on this beautiful day and wanted to visit the zoo.  So, it gave us an opportunity to visit Turtle Park for the first time.  We love our outings with our cousin!

Moving Day!

After eleven great years in our first house, we decided it was time to move on.  Now all three kids have their own bedroom.  We even have a bigger backyard and Greg has tons of storage, which was right behind "a good school" on our list of priorities.  :-)  We were sad to move from our old neck of the woods and our old neighbors, but are looking forward to this new adventure.
