Mike and Maeg's wedding

Greg's little brother got married this weekend and Peyton and her big cousin, Dakota, were the flower girls. It was a perfect Fall day and the wedding was in the Rose Garden. Peyton made it down the very, very long aisle and was a trooper till almost 10:30 that night. She had a blast dancing with all of her cousins. Congrats to Michael and Maegen.

Braden rolled over!

Braden has recently started rolling onto his sides from his back and now has rolled over from his belly to his back. Such a big boy!

Mmm, rice cereal!

We have started Ashlyn and Braden on rice cereal! The first time most of it ended up on their faces, but they have started to eat better and most nights it ends up in their mouths!

Potty Training - Day 1

Peyton's BFF, Kate, started officially potty training at school (i.e. wearing big girl pants) a week or so ago and apparently that is all Peyton has been talking about there. So, the teacher decided that this week we would try it with Peyton. Although she never was proactive about it, whenever they asked her to go she would on the potty and made it all day at school with no accidents. When she got home, though, she was adamant (sp?) about not going on the potty. Finally around 7 we had her in the bathroom, where she still refused, and ended up going on the floor. She did go on the potty right before bed, though. We are very proud of her!

Ashlyn and Braden

Here they are together at 4 months old, on the first Sunday football game-day of the season. Updates are below. Other than that, they are looking forward to getting started on rice cereal -yum!

Braden is 4 months old!

Braden turned 4 months on the 11th! He is growing like a weed. He is my talker and likes to say "ohh" and other loud noises. He is also my smiley-boy. He is working on rolling onto his side from his back and loves to play in his gym. He also likes his new toy - the exersaucer.

Doctor is very proud of his progress. His reflux has been under control with the medicine and I'm hoping we can stop it soon. He no longer fusses after feedings and goes to bed every night after his bottle. He has also slept through the night several times, but we're still usually getting up with him once.

Stats:

Height 25.5 inches (75th percentile - holy cow!)

Weight 14 lbs 2.5 oz (50th percentile)

Head 41 cm (25th percentile)

Ashlyn is 4 Months Old!

Ashlyn turned 4 months on the 11th! Time is flying by. She started rolling over from her tummy to her back this month and is also starting to roll onto her side from her back. She likes to talk after she eats and says "goo", "ooh" and gurgles a lot. She still likes to fuss after her last feeding and we are working on getting her to go to bed without us holding her for 2 hours! She also has slept through the night a few times. Mostly she is still going 6-8 hours, which is great but since she last eats around 7 or 8 pm, we are still getting up in the night to feed.

Doctor is very proud of how much she has grown. She is so much like her big sister, looking more and more like her every day and acts like her as well (high maintenance, LOL). Everyone thinks she is bigger than Braden but he still has a bit on her...

Stats:

Height 24.25 inches (50th percentile)

Weight 13 lbs 11.5 ounces (60th percentile)

Head 40.4 cm (25-5oth percentile)

Who's the Boss?

I went to pick up Peyton at daycare yesterday and one of her teachers, Miss Carla, was in the lobby. Miss Carla was talking to another staff member about how much Peyton has been talking lately. She was telling me that Peyton is her "talker" and that she tells everyone in the classroom what to do. I'm assuming she does it in the nicest way possible, of course. :-) She is the queen of our castle so it doesn't surprise me that she thinks it is that way outside of our house as well! Example, last night she was telling me that I needed to go to bed. (Wish I could have followed that order!)

Pretty Pretty Princess

We went to my mom's to celebrate my birthday on Labor Day. It was Ashlyn and Braden's first time there! Mom made a wonderful breakfast and Peyton got to play with her toys that are kept there. Here she is in her dress up outfit.

Bumbo Time

Ashlyn and Braden are getting so big so we decided to break out the Bumbo chairs to see if they were ready for them yet (thanks to our friends for letting us borrow one). They can last a pretty long time before their heads start leaning. Always nice to have a new "toy" to play with!

Peyton's Day Off

We have had some beautiful weather and on Friday Peyton decided she wanted to stay home with Mommy and the babies. We packed a lunch and went to Creve Coeur Park. Ashlyn and Braden were in the stroller of course and Peyton and I took them for a walk around the lake. Peyton did pretty well staying by me. We then found a shady spot to eat our lunch. It was a nice and relaxing day.
