Happy Birthday Uncle Bob!

Peyton & I went to Shoguns with Mom, Bobby, Nan and Bill for Bobby's b-day on the 30th. It was Peyton's first hibachi grill experience and she LOVED it! She was mesmerized with all the action surrounding her.

Getting Ready for the New Arrivals

We finally got the room cleaned out and everything moved downstairs. This included having to have the Uverse people come out to install a new connection in the basement. It also forced us to get rid of old clothes and other junk we've been hanging on to.
Peyton was a big help to Daddy to get the babies' room ready for the furniture delivery. She helped spackle the nicks in the wall and vacuum the baseboards. She thought she was big stuff! We now have two cribs, a dresser, a chest of drawers and tons of baby boy clothes I still need to organize in the room (special thanks to my cousin Nika for having 3 little boys within the past two years). And I thought we had a lot of clothes for Peyton to hand down to her sister!

Guess it was bound to happen

I have heard this from most friends/acquaintances that their kids have done it, but we made it almost two years so I was hoping that our kid wasn't going to...
Peyton decided to make us a little present in the bathtub tonight! She was tooting up a storm, reminded me of Trading Places when Eddie Murphy was saying how they had to make bubbles in the tub when they were kids since they didn't have a jacuzzi... Anyway, then I saw it. Ugh! And we had just gotten her new bath toys tonight so we had extra toys to clean.

Back on the potty-wagon

We were doing pretty well getting P on the potty every day but since she's been resistant lately we've been slacking off more. We decided to put her on tonight before her bath and she went almost as soon as she sat down. This time we kept the cheering to a minimum (since she cried last time!) and just gave her high fives and a smartie (she loves those Smarties). Let's see if our bribe of "now if you tell Mommy & Daddy when you have to go you will get a Smartie" will work.

Filling Daddy's Shoes

Like most kids, Peyton lovest to put on our shoes and walk around the house. Here she is in "a daddy's shoes". (She usually preferences statements with either "a" or "ee") I just love this pic and her crazy post-ponytail hair.
