Nine-month checkup

After a nice but short visit with Sue and Kate today (school had a snow day!), we trekked through the snow to Peyton's check-up. Doc said she can pretty much eat any kind of table food, so that should be fun! Less than three months left with the bottle and formula - I can't believe it!. We're also supposed to get her off of the paci - by a year is best but by 18 months max. That will be a challenge. She's down to only needing it when she sleeps but I've only gotten her to go to bed in her crib without it one other time...and it's been a while. Here's the stats:
22 lbs 15.5 oz (95%)
28 inches (75%)
Head 43.5 cm (25-50% - she has Greg's little head!)

The doctor was looking at her teeth and asked how many teeth she had and I was about to say four, but Dr. Mayer said "there's four on the bottom". She also sees at least one lateral incisor coming in the top - maybe both. That explains why she's been gnawing on everything lately. I had thought it was still from her first two upper teeth coming in.

I also clarified what she had in her lungs and the word I was missing just stood for where the infiltrates were - she had "interstitial infiltrates". But, she is all better now and we can stop the breathing treatment! Yeah!

Oh, and she busted her lip on the TV tonight. She was playing with her activity table and wanted to get to the new gate that was leaning on the TV. Even though I was sitting right there, she managed to quickly slip and she must have cut the inside of her lip with her teeth. She had blood coming out of her mouth - I was freaking out. But, she only cried for about a minute and I gave her her mesh feeding thing with ice in it. She was fine after that. She's a tough girl!

Ahh! Hope her lip doesn't swell! Funny our 9 month check up was also today, although it was cancelled due to snow. I am home with the boys tomorrow due to colds and weather. I am officially "PRN" 2/13! Since I am off tommorrow I will have updates for the blog! Take care and hope to see you all Super Bowl Sunday!
